My professional interests center on the intersection of the arts, the creative economy, and community development, particularly how the arts can serve as a catalyst for positive change in communities.
I began my career in the visual arts, earning an undergraduate degree in Arts Management with a concentration in Gallery and Museum Management. While working at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), I transitioned from the Visual Arts Department to Performing Arts, where I worked alongside the Company Manager to coordinate artist services for concerts, performances, and festivals.
From there, I held positions at several arts organizations focused on strengthening the creative economy and fostering community engagement. My experience includes a season as Assistant Company Manager at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and three years at ArtsEmerson in Boston.
In 2016, I decided to further my education and pursue a graduate degree, earning my MFA in Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from the University of Connecticut in 2019. My thesis project explored museum education and community partnerships.
Following graduate school, I joined the Greater Hartford Arts Council as Community Investment Manager, where my work shifted toward philanthropy and supporting the arts through grantmaking. I currently serve as the Grants and Scholarships Operations Manager at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, where I continue to support community impact through strategic philanthropy and effective grantmaking practices.
Throughout my career, a consistent theme has been my commitment to connecting resources, organizations, and communities to create meaningful and lasting impact.
